I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, an EMDR Trauma Therapist, and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. I have over 30 years of experience in the Human Services field, and have worked for decades within the cancer community as an advocate, a volunteer and a caregiver.

Personal Statement
I am passionate about helping people heal from negative life experiences, trauma, and other distressing events that can shape how they see themselves, the world around them, and their relationships with others.

I am dedicated to supporting individuals navigating the emotional pain of grief and significant losses by providing compassionate care and practical tools to process their experiences, adapt to life's changes, foster healing, and honor what has been lost.

I am also devoted to supporting people living with cancer and other chronic illnesses by creating a safe space to process emotional distress, develop effective coping strategies, and navigate the challenges associated with illness. My goal is to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and foster hope as they adapt to the emotional impact of their health journey.

Therapeutic Approach and Modalities
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and direct, while incorporating humor, when appropriate, to create a genuine and supportive space for growth. I take a trauma-informed approach focused on helping clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I use an eclectic approach to counseling consisting of, but not limited to: Adlerian, Cognitive Behavior, Existential, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and Solution-Focused theories, based on a Rogerian (Person/Client-Centered) therapeutic model; utilizing a variety of Gestalt exercises and EMDR (trauma) therapy.
