I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, an EMDR Trauma Therapist, and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.  I have over 30 years of experience in the Human Services field, and have worked for decades within the cancer community as an advocate, a volunteer and a caregiver.

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language/Literature (Summa Cum Laude), Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL).

  • Certificate of completion: EMDR training from an EMDRIA Certified Consultant and Trainer (Boca Raton, FL).

Personal Statement
I am passionate about helping people overcome negative life experiences, trauma and other disturbing events that interfere with the way a person sees the world, themselves, and the way they relate to others.

I am dedicated to helping people move beyond emotional pain experienced through grief and other loss issues by providing a method of action steps to help overcome unresolved grief.

I am devoted to addressing the psychological needs of people dealing with cancer and other chronic diseases by providing an outlet for emotional distress and the necessary tools and coping skills for improving resistance, resilience and recovery, while instilling hope!

Treatment Modalities
I use an eclectic approach to counseling consisting of, but not limited to: Adlerian, Cognitive Behavior, Existential, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and Solution-Focused theories, based on a Rogerian (Person/Client-Centered) therapeutic model; utilizing a variety of Gestalt exercises and EMDR (trauma) therapy.

My hourly fee may vary depending on services rendered.

Insurance
I am no longer on insurance panels.
If you would like to see me as a private, self-pay client,
I can give you a "superbill" to submit to your insurance
